i don't think i'd particularily enjoy surviving for a few extra days. if the corpse is the only thing i can eat, i don't see much point in eating it - unless chances of a rescue are sufficiently high.
not that i have anything against canibalism - i'd taste it in a good recipe, and if i enjoyed it, i'd have no particular problem eating it in the same frequency i eat beef, for instance. |

Well, they didn't seem to have eaten one another. The guys in that flight did - this is why I linked to Wikipedia, this was the decision from several rational individuals that decided to do exactly what Gauss thought about.
Back to the original post, I still see no point in remaining marooned in the island: It's not like you've got a chance of bumping into anything - I'd swim away even if I had nowhere to go... |
