Where to find Used Technic 1200's

| OK, so i decided to buy turntables and a mixer to start spinning trance. I'm not looking to perform live or anything..just to learn and mess around in my room. Right now, since i'm a poor college student i have my eyes set on the Stanton Platinum Pak. Comes with 2 STr-80's, the ST6k mixer, and everything else i need. However, since EVERYONE on this board insists on the 1200's I also want to look around and see what i can find used. If i decided to buy used Technics i'll probably get teh Stanton Rm-3s mixer or the Vestax 275 so I wouldnt have to upgrade for a while. My main goal is to have enough money left over to do ALOT of vinyl shopping. So...anyone know of places (other than ebay) to look for a good used set of 1200's? thanks guys. |

I don't think that you will be happy with the Stanton's, my friend has a pair and it is really hard to mix with them. They have torque, but when you speed it up by pushin on the label (if that is your technique) the over spin. That is just a suggestion, see if you can play on them first.
