Deadly Nor'easter

Please keep in your thoughts and prayers those who lost almost everything in this deadly storm. We were lucky, we live on a hill so we had little flooding to our basement but, that's it. Alot of people lost everything. their cars, belonging, and things that can never be replaced. Its a terrible tradgedy and I am very thankful that we were lucky. There are still so many people who are staying at shelters and so many homes who still do not have power. For the past 4 days all I have heard are sirens. Mamaroneck and other parts of Westchester County were under a state of emergency. It really breaks my heart. We took in one family who could not even leave out of mamaroneck to get home.

I feel for all of those people that lost anything that meant something to them. All of this flooding brings back too many memories of Hurricane Katrina. What is even worse than losing your belongings is knowing that no amount of money from insurance companies/donations could ever fully replace what you lost. I'll keep them all in my prayers!

My parents left for Poland on Monday and I come home from school on Tuesday and my basement is flooded. fock. I had noone to help me and had to stick my head in web infested sheetrock to see if the leak was from a pipe or coming from the foundation. This weather sucks!!!:whip:
