i peronally hate it. i dont understand how they can spend sooooooooooo much time just on one story?

example: anna nicole smith, that radio guy, VT...
i mean yes, they are stories, but i dont need ALL DAY coverage of the same in 5 news channels.

it gets me irritaded, so does anyone enjoy the full time coverage? i mean, i cant think of anyone who would... so why do they do it:whip: there are other news ffs.

There was a great article in the NY Times about this yesterday.

Basically, it just said that the American public response en mass is utterly predictable when it comes to big/tragic news stories, and elaborated on the inevitable cycle of events/response/news that follows something like what happened on Monday.

It was pretty spot on.

why do you think they call it a media circus?

btw, i'm embarrassed to admit i'm miss the OJ coverage. :o

If you kept up-to-date on the VT thread that day, you'd know why I hated the coverage. I seriously despise mass media.

Solution: Watch news for 10 minutes, turn of TV and the spend remaining 23 hours & 50 minutes trying to get it in the pooper ;)

It is like rubbernecking a bad car accident. Why do people do it?

Same thing with media, the public just keep watching.

Over all I think the media coverage in the U.S. is done in a poor manner. :whip: :whip:

Now my question is whether it differs in other countries, or is it just as bad?
