just got back from london. a very nice visit. what's been stuck in my mind was this buffet place in china town. they had a regular 'eat as much as you want' thing, but a sign on the wall said they would give a penalty fine to anyone leaving food on the plates. 5 gbp per 200 grams. hell, i was even afraid to leave chicken bones (maybe chinese people eat those too).
is this usual in the uk? i only had a 5 day stay and spent most of the time downing pints or getting lost on the subway. |
No of course not. Sounds crazy though lol.
Next time your in london check out these eatries really good food on offer slightly expensive but worth it. Fifteen, Moro, Momo, San Lorenzo, Locanda and Cafe Konstam. |

An Update:
I've been living in Gorton for the past month, now I moved to wythenshawe, cause it's near my work, living at some potheads house now.
Job at the airport suxass, I only make like 180 pounds a week. :]
England's weather is the worst i've ever seen, the girls are the ugliest i've ever seen, but on a whole people are quite nice. Thinking about attending a MU match (that's where Neo was wrong, you have football during the summer) MU will be playing at old trafford on 8 and on 21st of august i think :> |

The weather is always piss poor here, but not usually at this time of the year.
A big wall should be built around places like Manchester, Liverpool etc and they should be left well alone.
Yeah football season starts with friendlies and such around the end of July time. |

I'd like to say it's just a satirical look at English chav 'culture' which is played upon for entertainment purposes.
But it might be more correct to say, it's "cleaned up" for a late night TV rating, the reality has far more drug abuse, Buckies, teen pregnancy, theft and violence :D |

Yeah, got that already. Brilliant show so far (I'm only halfway the first season, though)

damn, I knew that, but I thought maybe I'd get a chance to see some kind of friendly match or smth, cause here in Lithuania the biggest stadium probably has 10k seats max, so.. |
Cool, you're Lithuanian? So am I (few generations removed). I always wanted to go there to check out my heritage. What's it like? |
