Welcome to NY!
If you're gonna be here by May 18th, we have Dave Seaman @ LOVE. LOVE is on MacDougal Street @ 8th street (just tell the cabby...haha). It's a smallish venue with what many consider the best sound system in NYC. Like Sully, it's not a bottles/models kinda place; more like come as you are, enjoy world-class DJ's, and have a great time. |

I'm flying up this saturday. I'm currently organizing and packing stuff to bring up there. Just checking two big bags full of clothes on the plane and also getting some boxes to gether to have shipped out once I get settled.
I'm really excited. I can't wait to get up there.
Unless I find about anything sooner, my first NYC show will be Dave Seaman at Love. I've been wanting to see Dave Seaman for awhile. I was a fan of his stuff from way back (I haven't heard much of his recent albums). From what I've been reading on the boards here, Love seems like a place I will be very fond of in the future. I'm pretty eager to check it out.
I also read that Frankie Knuckles will be playing on the 20th. I definatly need to make it out to that.
I really want to see Zabs and Fanciulli on memorial day weekend. But my good buddy who I'm moving in with (he's not too big into electronic music) and I were planning on going to visit friends in DC that weekend. As much as I want to do that, I kind of would rather stay intown for that show.
Now I also need to buy my tickets for Holden and Underworld in September. |

oh GOD what a treat you are in for! Club Love will change your outlook on ALL the other clubs you haven't been to yet LOL. You'll wish everything was at Love...the perfect NYC underground chill venue with one superior sound system. And even better Dave Seamen...sheesh spoiled you are...lol =P have fun and ill be sure to be at seamen |

awsome. Love sounds like my type of place.
but i don't know if it can beat out my favorite my favorite night, monday night social in LA. Its at a sweet intimate venue, has an open air second floor which looks down on the DJ dance floor. they always bring in great talent and since its a Monday night everyone there is pretty much there for the music, making for a great vibe (and almost all the women there are beautiful :p)
we'll see though............:p
I'm looking forward to meeting you all there. Frank I got the second round :)

nice having you with us, you should check out the daft concert at keyspan a bunch of us will be there. And lucky you getting into love, i have to wait two years till i get in i hope its doesnt change for the worse by the time. anyway good lookwith everything. |

I actually already have my ticket for Daft Punk in LA. I'm going to fly out there for the show. I know it doesn't really make sense, but I bought my ticket for it awhile ago and didn't know I was moving to NYC. Atleast now its a chance to also visit friends back there for the weekend.
Ah that sucks your not 21 yet. But don't worry. Who knows if Love will change or not by then, but things are always changing and theres always bound to be somethign great going on by the time you are "legal." :) |
