Do any of you know where I can find listings for Escort RS cosworths that are for sale?

I could buy one for the UK but the steering wheel is on the wrong side ;)

Thanks.

www.rallycarsforsale.net

www.racecarsdirect.com

Both sites have listings for road cars, not just caged Group A or Group N kit.

In exchange for these listings, can I get a few laps in this beast at the Nurburgring??? :D:D:D:D

Also, why the Cossie? I've always loved these, but you don't hear too many people interested in them anymore. I know that parts can get expensive, but that's the case with any 15+ year old performance car.

If I can ever get my hands on one sure, just dont wreck it ;)

I mainly want one to bring back to the states. There are only 6 there and all my buddies in my escort racing teams would die if I could show them a cossie.

6 road cars or 6 total?

I know of a full Group A rally one in Vermont, and there was even a road car with Ontario plates at one point. There were a couple mild Group A ones for sale in Toronto as well. I could try and track them down fo you if you want. Bear in mind, those ones are already caged rally cars(though they have road plates on them).

I'm not sure how easy it is to get one in the country, but I guess now that the 15 year thing has passed it's just the same as bringing in a Skyline or something.

Dude, do it up.

DeathScorts are badasssss. You looking for a track toy?

You can also try www.rallyclassified.com for US listings (and some international).

Is it 15 years? I thought it was 25 years......hmmmmm

I want to have a full legit car. Not really for racing. Just one to be able to cruise with. A few years back I found listing for cossies for sale in germany but I dont even remember how I fould the listing.

LINKY

This one looks nice. No exterior mods, but a clubman Group A motor and suspension goodies. Doesn't look like there's a cage or seats in it either.

svt: im going to give you some advice. i was looking into bringing a gray market vehicle (ones that are imported from abroad) to states a few years ago. its a very lengthy process and requires TONS of work. the associated costs pretty much makes it cost prohibitive. the car must pass certain safety standards and also pollution control depending on the state. there is a HUGE list of cars that are eligible for importation on the DOT site. this list tells you which vehicles you can import and get them legally on the road. want anymore info let me know. i know a lot about what you have to do. i have yet to actually go through the process but i have researched it a lot. theres a lot involved.

Thanks for the bro!!!!

Some cossies were brought to the states and converted so I know it has been done. You can import one and get it registered as a show or parade car. You can only drive so many miles a year with that but at least you can keep it while you mod it.

You can import cossies, I have the DOT page bookmarked ;)

I'm certainly no expert on cars or Cosworths but I was under the impression that they were fairly rare ... and as you mentionned and implied it they were mostly popular in the UK
