yeh, maybe, but we arent artists, people dont care about what we do, he has to set an example, to me (after reading the whole thread) what he did is just umprofessional (is that a word.....ahh u know what i mean). |

Some people are human (others are aliens?) - it's REALLY hard to read negative things about you and ignore them...
However, it's usually better to let problematic posts die on their own - once you get into a flamewar your initial argument/reponse may be noticed and acknowledged -- until, of course, the flamer is at a loss for words and will call upon all his/her troll friends to support his/her view and then you're dealing with 7 idiots instead of 1.
In my case - if you filter/ban that user then they cry censorship -- or, worse yet, make accusations about the artist/label paying you to remove negative commentary. It's a royal ain in the ass, really - I lose either way. The common flamer will say "DJ ___ SUCKS" and rarely explain their reasoning, leaving the rest of us to scroll through their mundane, uninformative posts. The artist will say - "ppl on TA are all negative" - quickly 'forgetting' about the rest that are mostly positive, because of said flamers and their attention-whoring ways.
Trust me, I've heard it all - some complaints are legitimate - whereas others are just coming from crybaby backstage fanboys of certain artists that can't face a reality of ANY negative comment about their friend/fave artist. |
