Review: Armin and Blake Jarrell at Boom Boom Room

Just got in from Boom Boom Room...
Night was definately a success, my buddies Derek (Robby) and Andrew did a great job opening, and Blake Jarrell was very impressive.
Played the type of progressive trance I really like, very Markus Schulzy.
Armin was good, not the best I've ever seen him, but he didn't dissapoint. His last hour was the highlight of his set.
Aly and Fila-Why was for sure tune of the night.
Boom Boom Room was very very busy, and hot, but still fun.
Nice meeting Miss M and her boyfriend, pleasure chatting with you guys.
I was also very happy when I discovered that the bad outhouse like smell that came and went throughout the night was not originating from me.
I hadn't showered in two days and I got the terrible realization that it could be possible that I was the stinky one at the club.
Of all the realizations to have noticing that you are the stinky one is not a good one.
Good ones would be realizing that you don't have to worry about getting poisoned pet food.
But being stinky is not good, however thinking you may be stinky, then realizing that you are not is good in itself.
So add that to the success of the evening. |

Short and sweet.....
It was good to see the few ta's I bumped into. Cheers to the ones who came from far to see Armin. Man I thought I was a trooper.
Blake's set was impressive. I was looking forward to seeing him finally. Perfect warm up set FORSURE
Well... Armin... That guy didnt play his best set, but I have to say once that tech trance came on I was moving my little legs as fast as I could at that point.
THANKS TO REMO AND EVERYONE ELSE AT BOOM BOOM ROOM FOR HOSTING A SICK NIGHT. I HOPE YOU GUYS CONTINUE EXACTLY WHAT YOUR DOING.

Just got back...
Got there around 11:00.
Jarrell was pretty good, the last hour or so of his set I really enjoyed.
Armin, in my opinion was awesome. The second part of his set though was much much better.
Dabura's set, i was not really impressed with.
Over all a great night!
Well time to shower and go to work.:D |

Was a typical set by armin .. alot of songs people want to hear were in the set
he opened with LIght the Skies than Need To Feel (Whippenberg Remix) .. and his 2 encores where Racoon - Love you More .. and G&D - Tracking Treasure Down .. yuck ! lol
Blake impressed me .. for sure :)
tonight will be amazing at guv ! :P

Got home and saw a text from nada so it musta been pretty good.

First and foremost kudos to the BBR for holding his event AGAIN!!!:D:D: everything from lineup to entrance to the vibe was amazing! it was very nice meeting u Remo :)
Got there around 11ish was vert impressed with DNA good tunes :D the sound was a lil low tho i found it got better later on!!!
BLAKE JARELL!!!! wow this kid amazed me to pieces.....his set progressed and flowed so well that by the end he literally had me going nuts!!! Dee & Lars no chasing cars l but he did end his set with Just breathe :):):) some really good tracks i don't do well with ID's but i have a few vids which i'll post later!!!!CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR HIM IN THE KH TONIGHT and I recommend that anyone who can catch his set DO SO!!!! :)
Armin played a good set nothing outstanding tho! I can say that after tonight I understand some of my friends on TA and outside who have recently seen Armin in North America have stated that his sets were a bit of a disappointment to them. He did not disappoint me but he played a lot harder than I expected at times almost TOO hard that I was like ok enough where the is the ARMIN TRANCE!!! he played some vocals in the beginning of his set some good, some not my cup of tea but he totally owned the place when he dropped 'THE ANTHEM SONG' wow!!!! from there onwards it was just hard banging tech-trance which I love but its Armin so for me it was definitely lacking some epic stuff that I hope he will play at KH tonight!!!!What else can i say his energy NEVER CHANGES same everytim he was going nuts :D:D:D and everyone was luvin it!!!!!a
I want to thank Michelle (missM) for getting us our tix and the bottle service ...girl u and ur bf are tons of fun and I really hope we get to do this again :D
Joshy i know about the stinky ppll hahahah I was yelling at them while they were busy makin out stinkin up our area pfffft hahahah
nick I am so glad u were able to come down for this hun....I hope u had a blast....from the looks of it u were killin that stage hehehehehhe
I had a great time with good friends my second time at the BBR for Armin and I will back again soon :D |
