i was wondering where u were. nice to finally party the 21 year old crowd. nice to see some old faces again. Andy is such a down to earth guy was talking to him for 15 after his set and i know he kinda made sweetcandygirl mad by not posing for her pics.

I hate articles that simply base hearing loss in pure decibel level. There's so much more than that. Tuning is SO crucial! It's why you can go into two different clubs where the music is entering your ear at the same decibel level but when you leave one club your ears are phone and in another your ears are ringing for a days. It's because of the tuning.

I think I've read one article in my life that fully explored the importance of both tuning AND volume, it was about five years ago and think it was a site that actually translated the article from a foreign magazine. Even had quotes from some DJs like PvD and emphasized how important it was for clubs to constantly have their gear retuned as systems tuning can get a bit out of whack on a frequency level after not much use, although we can't hear the difference with our own ears until it's tuning gets quite a bit out of whack. I'll look around for it, but prob won't find it.

That said, you should still take care of your ears...cause I just said, a system can be out of tune even though it sounds crisp to our ears!

The system at Arena is actually not bad. The problem is tuning in what you inputing to the system.

When I was setting up the the booth their, the guys working there didn't know how to set everything correctly to make it sound good. So, that being said, I bet someone had something all tweaked out and that is why it sounded like crap.

All the reason there should be a professional in-house sound guy, that knows the system inside and out.

dont worry about the sound system now at Arena. every friday we make it a point to set it up at the highest, cleanest that we could get. it was definitely much better last Friday for Andy Moors set.

we work our asses off not only the sound system but also the whole club it self.

we promoters at RED make it a point that the whole crowd will have a GREAT EFFIN good time!

now for those people who think there not having a good time. LOOK FOR ME I WILL GET YOU DRUNK LIKE A MF! :D ;)

didnt see ya there but on friday the sound was almost the worst i have ever heard. the only other time i have heard worse sound was when TENTATION opened. the sound was clipping on all frequencies and distorted horribly. the highs were piercing. the system was not tuned and was way too loud.
