Woke up just a bit ago and thinking of making breakfast for the wifey - she's still asleep.
Found full carton of eggs but says BEST IF USED BY 3/28..

Do eggs go bad like that?? Will I stink up the room later?
Could I bust out a dutch oven on HER later and be successful???

Or will I poison us and declare war on old dairy?

expiration dates are there for a reason.

especially with eggs... i wouldn't eat them. :nervous:

Tip: Put and egg into a cup or glass of water. If it sinks, it's good, if it floats, it's bad.

Anything that has an expiry date, which is basically anything, I won't eat it even if it's one day past it's due date.

don't eat them.

I like the way you think!
If it was for me, it..I'd do it just to see wud up...(yeah, we guys are stupid like that girls)
but since it's for the wifey...SURVEY SAYS:

NAY!!

Even though I will try PVDAngel's scientific way just to see if they float or not..that sounds interesting.

I'll make her pancakes instead with OJ and home fries

The stench of a rotten egg is one you never forget. I can still remember that summer camp. Throw that out, and without breaking them

I'm done with breakfast...she's up and surprised.
No spoiled eggs!! HUZZAH!!

However...PVDAngel's idea is still stuck on my head..
I think I will test them and record the results on video as proof that eggs DO go spoiled!

I'm not saying it always works, but most of the time it should. But I agree with the others, if they've been out of date for a while, you're best just throwing them out.
