How good do you think these new numarks will be? they look really sly, and the costomizablity looks totally kick ass, also the promises on torque are crazy too!@ As I posted earlier, I just purchased some Vestax TT's I hope the numark's aren't better :( ;) I would hate to see a better CHEAPER TT come out right as I unpack mine when I get them home
Veldrid
What decks did you get and how are they. I was just wondering cause the TTX are the same price as 1200's (well $10 difference) Didnt think any Vestax decks were better then 1200's. Anyways I think the TTX's are gonna be good. I doubt they will match the durability of the 1200's but will make up for it in the kewl features. The best thing about these decks is that now Tec=hnics is gonna try to compete and make a deck similar to the TTX only with Technics high standards.

I am getting these decks real real soon so I will let ya know what I think.
JohnSmith
Do you think so? I hope Technics makes a new deck.

I have pretty much settled on the MK3s.

but, i would really like something that spins backwards, and has more pitch range.

but at this point, i am not willing to throw away technics reliability for these gadgets, even on the TTX1.

who knows if it won't fall apart in a month?
Veldrid
Ya my music shop that I am getting the TTX's from is including a 3 year service plan for free =) so i am gonna take the chance

I was searching forums for numarks ttx1 turntables and I saw this post. I would like to know from Veldrid how the ttx1 turned out. Is is worse, equal or better than technics? I want to buy tt's this summer. (Probably just one because I do not have money for 2 of them).
Please let me know.

I really hope you're joking.. In my opinion the pdx-2000's are better than the 1200's, after using them both.. let alone the pdx-8000:

this thing is an absolute beast.
UltimaGT
this might sound kinda dumb, but I really wish the vestax looked *cleaner* and felt less cheap *shrug* but then again I only played with them for a few min months ago, I KNOW they have more torque, but eh

mmm..jus gonna add some color to this thread:

the more gadgets and cool lookin on a tt, the more can break on the tt **

ill stick to ma 1210's and the plain goodness they provide :D
DJ Chrono
But if all those extra gadgets are made with high quality parts, they shouldnt break..

there is a pitch adjust of either 12% or 3, or 6%

dont tell me u wouldnt like the accuracy of 3% pitch adjust.. thats just plain percise. u could get a very solid beatmatch with that.

and 1200's arnt invincible.. i've heard alot of people who run into problems wiuth them as they get older.

personally i'D go for the vestax's any day. and when i upgrade tts, im gonna go for them.

PDX-8000's :

The stick controller gives instant speed adjustment of +/- 50%, pitch bend of +/- 1,2,3,6% (selectable). The DJ's don't need to caress the platter for tempo adjustments any more!

Fully logic controlled dual phase lock loop synthesizer allows the most accurate speed control and totally continous pitch control

The new synchronise feature allows the linking of several PDX-D3S's / PDX-8000's together for control of pitch, start and stop from one master PDX-D3. An optional cable is required from your dealer to make this connection.

not bad if u ask me.

techs vs vestax

well, if you get it good, then you don't have to. I have played entire songs from start to finish beatmatched with my technics, they are fine.
