I Just Got Back From A Concert @ CIRCUS... WOW... HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!

I just got back from a concert @ Circus... WHOA!!! :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: What a huge difference! Circus has come a long way!!! And I mean LONG WAY!!! I can almost say that it can finally give Avalon a run for it's money. The production was really good. I have never seen Circus as good as it was last night. It still seemed like they were doing some work, but if it keeps going in that direction, Circus will be freaking amazing! I dunno how many of the improvements are permanent, or they were just there because of the concert. Either way, it was a different Circus than I'm used to. Pix are below. I'll post videos later.

The place was packed! But let me start with all the new improvements!
1.- NEW GROOVE TICKETS MACHINES... HELL YEAH! They had several of these. You just walk up to them, they scan your credit card, and bam! You're in. No more waiting in double lines.
2.- QUICK LINES... They were very organized at the front and very quick too.
3.- NO MORE METAL DETECTORS... At least during the concert, no metal detectors!
4.- SICK EAW CONCERT SOUND... :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: I dunno why they never used the concert sound during Spundae, but goddam! That sound is SICK! The basslines are punchy and the highs are crisp! Notice I said EAW CONCERT SOUND. It's been there for a long time, they just never used it during the club nights. It also seemed like they added more speakers in the side room.
5.- SOUND ENGINEER... About time Circus added a sound booth & a sound engineer. That made a huge difference.
6.- NEW LIGHTING... The Stage had awesome lighting. I dunno if it's rented or new, but it's sick! It's the same lighting they have at Avalon.
7.- CONFETTI CANNONS... Yeap! Just like it was during the Sasha shows at Avalon. Circus has them too.
8.- MORE BARS... Man! There was bars everywhere... Too bad I couldn't find Ernesto. But I found his friend, and he hooked it up good!!!! My girls got drunk quick! I only had two drinks, but they were strong!
9.- VIP BOOTHS... OK, I don't like VIP Areas, but this time I noticed Circus had added several raised VIP booths near the stage.
10.- PROJECTOR SCREENS & VISUALS... It looks like Circus added Pioneer DVD Players & several Projector Screens to their main room. There was a complete DVD System installed in the main DJ booth. The DJ was DJing with DVD's all night. A lot of the songs he played had music videos, if not he would add visuals. That was cool. They also had a video system where they would show the crowd on the projector screens.
11.- DJ BOOTH MAKEOVER... I know most of you won't notice it, but it looks like the main room DJ Booth got a makeover. They finally added a raised platform above the mixer for the CDJs'. Kinda like Tentation has theirs. This was long over due!

It was a spanish concert. The artist is IVY QUEEN. She's the biggest female Reggaeton singer in the world.
I guess they do these concerts all the time. If you notice, on the back side room where all the couches are, there's all kinds of posters hanging from the wall. Every poster has a big Spanish singer on it. They all performed there within the last year.
I dunno who the Dj's were, but the opening DJ was really good!!! He was playing all Spanish music, but really clean mixing and with videos!
The girls I went with really liked it and they wanna go back. hehe
Oh, and if you think EDM ticket prices are ridiculous... Last night, tix were.. General Admisison.. $40 presale, $60 at the door. VIP (Front of the stage access)... $100. |

Yeah, that confetti canon was pretty damn annoying. They kept shooting it off on Saturday night. It's not freakin New Year's! :rolleyes:
Hopefully you didn't have to put up with an awful mc either, with freakin airhorns. ugh. |

That's only when those crazy Israeli people have their Sessions.
My neice, her friend & I checked out CIRCUS on Friday after leaving RED (we had to get our quesadillas :D ) and that place was packed from front to back! Yes it was gay night but I saw lots of straight people and quite a few couples! The DJ in the back was good, he was playing EDM and the front DJ seemed to be playing (at that time) something like R&B. It was a trip being in there, I was having flash-backs from back in the days. hahahaha... :happy2: |
