After finally seeing some pics after hearing about some changes...my response is...
Nice patchwork.
But patches aren't meant to last forever.
Circus needs to be completely remodelled, be made more modern. Adding props and changing the position of the DJ booth is not the answer.
I think what's there now does look neat, but it looks neat because it looks different...know the neat-effect won't last forever.
Just my honest (and personal) opinion.
Wish Circus would do what it needs to take care of itself and do well in the future. Or it will probably learn the hard way. Much like Ten15 here in SF did. They did patchwork (like putting things on the dance floor that lit up as you dance on them :-p)....the pathwork effect didn't last long, though...but finally they realized big things needed to be changed and the place has largely been made over. Still some work to be done IMO, especially with the main room, but Ten15's overall look now compared to a few years ago is like night and day and the crowds it lost, at least on Saturday nights, are returning....largely thanks to both Taj (for the main room crowd at least) and the makeover, IMO. The place is just becoming more appealing as a whole again. But still, as I said, needs more work on the main room still, IMO....and I'm talking in the heart of the main room....not balconies overlooking it ;p
