yo guys.

im workin on a rmx of oceanlab - sattelite.

its kinda a infusion of a dub mix of my upcoming release 'never leave you' and the vocals from oceanlabs track.

the rmx has a slow vibe and is just a variant of 'never leave you' which is out soon on greenspot music.

im quite tempted to draught in my cousin to redo some original vocals. the track doesnt seam to work without them.

Very nice, the vocals sounds awesome! Just think the bassline is a bit to dominate. But it sounds promising, keep working! :toocool:

Its good, I like the approach you make with the melody & bassline. Maybe some more percussion elements would not hurt. It's very diff, but my favorite remix is still the Alex Odden Flipside mix :), just the bass riff is so catchy with that one.

theres something i really like about this Rich,i think the vocal really suits the mood of the song - which is so different to the original uplfting track (which i love)..

I really like the 'blippy' main melody going through it - and also the dark sounding pads suit the vocals a lot - i still think it sounds a little odd in places, just because im not used to the vocals of 'satelitte' in this style hehe..

i think there could be more drive in the percs after the break..they seem a bit 'empty' - other than that it sounds really good and im surprised how well the vocals suit this totally different style...very nice secondary melody that comes in near the end aswell - as i said,i just think there could be more 'drive' percs-wise

The bass with the long notes is weak, the rest is quite cool.

thanks guys. i did have more percs in there but they seamed to make the track sound too driving and not as housey.

robbert todd - thanks for checkin man. the bass will sound weak but this is beacuase it is very deep and really needs a club system to show up. the saw above it that plays the same notes has been toned down so it does not overpower anything. ill try to beef it up a bit:)

your probly right mate this isnt my production PC and i was listening to the track on a pair of crappy headphones, probably does sound fat in club environment.

I really like this. Simple melody but really works well. Maybe some slight distortion on the bass line to give it more meat?

More percs could work as well though I didn't think it was too much of an issue.

God Stuff!!

cheers again guys:)
