Using some of the videos/pictures from Alex M.O.R.P.H.: http://www.nextlevel.ws/rizo/test/
Quickly wrote this up but had to deal with cross browser messes. Nothing fancy but it's a lot easier for me to work with than to go through Picasa and manually editing some of the pages (and images) to get the flash videos embedded -- wish Google would implement my idea that doesn't involve Google video or Picasaweb already  I've had mixed reactions from a the few people I have shown. Some miss the thumbnails, other don't. Some like not having to click next picture, while others hate scrolling especially when theres a ton of pictures. Anyway designed it for a minimum of 1152x864 resolution as I'm sure most have 1280x800 or 1280x1024 screens or at least I hope most do :o Tested it in FireFox 2, Internet Exlporer 6 (takes longer to load than other browsers), Opera 9, and whatever Safari version they had at the Apple store.
Plan on adding easier copy & paste code for both pictures and videos when I get some more time.
And for reference, the old/current Picasa gallery: http://www.nextlevel.ws/rizo/070421/ |

I liked how the videos were separated from the pictures. I liked how the pictures where bigger in size for their thumbnails. However, I am still in the air on scrolling down or not. What if you took the old way but made the thumbnails a bigger standard size and separated the videos by placing them on the top or bottom? |

Hey Gilbert,
For me, it just seemed a lot harder to navigate without the thumbnails but it's kinda cool to see the photos in a larger size right from the start. Maybe the videos on a separate page. I dunno. Kinda on the fence about it. But keep taking them Hi Quality Pics. Always a GREAT, GREAT Job!!! |

I think you should do what you feel is easier for you and if that's the way you should do it, then just do it. I can adjust to it.
Maybe try spacing them out a bit. I feel it's a bit smushed in there. |
