question: can you shower after tanning in the beds? does it make a difference if you use lotion?
someone told me not to shower for 24 hours after..but thats kinda gross |

I myself am fully polish and get really dark.
I also have a few gfs who were born and raised in poland for a few years and still get dark.
and then some just stay white all the time, and can never get color.
and were not that far from eachother in poland...so i wonder??? lol |
don't wonder honey. you just ain't true polish. :) you actually probably have some gypsy or persian or turkish or jewish in you. god knows poland has been taken apart enough times to really have a mixture of races.
i am veyr polish and very white all the time. |

well it's suggested you don't shower up to 2 hours after sunless tanning, not 24, cos that's truly gross
if you use a lotion (I'm assuming it's a tan accelerator?), it's better also to let it settle in for up to 2 hours... just don't use body scrub that day, that's your best bet |

one thing i like to do is take a shower right before i go tanning, all depends on the person, but when i do that im fine so i dont need to worry about it.
but
it all depends what type of lotion you use.
the whole point of waiting after you tan has everything to do with if you have bronzer in your lotion.
if you use a basic acclerator with no bronzer wait between 2-4 hours after you tan to shower.
if your using a bronzer cream then wait 4+ hours, let that color additive settle in your skin.
about the 24 hour thing, your actual color, the true end result of your tan dosent fully show till 24 hours after your tan, maybe thats what that person was getting at.

It does make a difference if you use a lotion - especially with bronzer. But don't buy the ones at the tanning salon...they're so expensive.
You're not supposed to shower after you tan in the beds either. You don't have to wait 24 hrs though. More like 6-12. |

yeah they are, way too expensive
I bought my last one on ebay, all together it was $18, compared to 39-49 in salons |

the creams they sell at tanning salons are the best for many MANY reasons, there a reason why you use them.
alot are over-priced but there are so many you can get for a good deal and your supposed to apply a really thin layer so it lasts a long time.
dont ever buy the from shoppers thats called "tanning oil or lotion" because your actually not even allowed to bring that into tanning salons because those paritcualr products ruin the acrylics of the beds. |

no they are truly overpriced! search on ebay for exactly the same brands and you can find them for a fraction of the cost they charge you in salons |

i didnt disagree about them being over-priced, i said they are.
let me rephrase...the brands of creams they sell at the salons are the ones you should be purchasing, if you can find them on ebay thats great.
the whole point is not to buy the ones from stores like shoppers. |
