Hey Sugars!
Greenskeepers kicked out the electro House and these dirty bass beats were just doing something to me. Damn awesome night. For those I saw there, it was great meeting ya!
But like everything really freakin' fun, they came, rocked my world, and left. We all hung out before and after the show. This is the second time we have been able to hang out. James (the band's DJ) pretty much took over the DJ booth before the show. I have no idea who was the opening DJ, but James got us all geared up and ready for a little GK. They came on at 12:30, full band with a DJ in the middle. They are so unique, so crazy, it just works. Nick (lead singer) can really work the crowd. Was so much fun.
They are almost done with a new album, which will be getting back more to their funky house style. The last album had more whimsy-funky alternative music with a second disk of all the songs remixed to house. I liked that album the best, but if they need to get away from that to make the sales, I guess they gotta do what they gotta do. Hopefully they will drop the OM label soon, that would be nice.
Anyways, I have pics and the story of the whole night up on my blog as usual:

I'll post a couple:

L to R: Coban on bass, James in the wee back on the tables, crazy ass Nick singing lead vocals, Mark on keyboard
This was taken at 4am and we were still drunk! lol L to R: Robert (my drunk hubby), me (squished in the middle), and Nick (lead singer of GK)
Mark (keyboard/guitar/vocals of GK) and I. I've had a crush on this boy for over a year now. And I swoon everytime I see him. He just gives off that sexiness in a man. Plus he gave me kisses on my cheek and big warm hugs. I think he found out about my crush and now he just wants to drive me crazy, evil evil man. Dammit, sometimes being married just sucks! LOL
K, more pics up on my blog, check it |
