I really hate posting current work to a public forum, as one of the conditions of many conracts is that work is "New, Original & Exclusive" so by posting snippets up it significantly undermines your negotiating position.
Anyway, I got myself called out on a thread over on the production studio thread. For this reason I have to post something or go sit in a corner and suck my thumb, which I refuse to do. :-)
So here's soemthing I did many moons ago, it was sooooo close to a release but Pink Floyd said "No!" (There was a Lame "Dance Remix" album in the works at the time).
It did get played out a bunch on acetate, and there was a strong positive reaction, but well, it's history now.
So if it sounds dated, it is. That's not the point though...

Delicious :-9
nice intro pad and FX...
if it's from 2000 then hat off...it doesn't sound dated...the only thing is that I think the overall sound could be perhaps a bit tighter and clearer...
sounds like it's a bit muddy in the lower mids...
otherwise good job on it :) nice work with the guitars...great :) |

Thanks..
At the time I was fundamentally disappointed with it, with the benefit of history it isn't too shabby. You're right about the soundstage though. I keep meaning to dust it off and have another crack at it to bring it up to date.
On another note, I've just discovered a slightly newer gem, that again never really saw the light of day for different reasons. |
