hate:
i also hate the same melody in both beginning and end of the song
this shows no progression really in the song
like: i like some big breakdowns sometimes
the abel ramos - aquarius (randy katana remix) breakdown is BADASS but,
i dont relaly like the start and beginning "beef" of the song.... kinda boring tekky
awesome bass lines that are heavy and make the dance floor move, rippin base and At Night...
pianos in songs... Flaming June, Oceanic, Firefly |

DO:
Chilled, dreamy, twinkly, melodic, ethereal, emotive, beautiful....
Amethystium - Hymnody
Ulrich Schnauss - In All The Wrong Places
Euphoric, ethereal with a nice, steady beat and melody....
Mark Otten - Mushroom Therapy
Catchy melody, energetic, dreamy....
Recluse - Isle Dauphine (Probspot Mix)
Unbelievably gorgeous breakdown melody...
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Atlantis Mix)
Good tribal percussion....
Killahurtz - West On 27th (A Tribe Called Killahurtz Mix)
Lustral - Everytime (Nalin & Kane Mix)
Flowing energy and melody...
Sasha - Xpander
Bedrock - Heaven Scent |

LIKE:
Fast, swishing high hats in interesting patterns.
Armin van Buuren - Sail
DJ Governor - Red Woods
Totally unique synths/sounds
Fedde Le Grand - Miss You
Kick drums that have been reversed to form a sucking sound, usually used before the track kicks back in after a breakdown
Nenes - Turbulence (Tribal-Tech Remix)
Vocals that slow down gradually until they turn into the kick drum (not many examples here)
Discoblaster - Fading (Steve Murano Remix)
DISLIKE:
Overly cheesy/repetitive vocals
Fedde Le Grand - Put Your Hands Up For Detroit
Quesh - Candy Girl
Ian Van Dahl - Castles In The Sky
Melodies that rapidly ascend in pitch during a build up
Paolo Mojo - 1983 (this track is awesome otherwise)
Overdriven kick drums that form a "crunch" sound instead of a "thump"
All gabber and hardcore tracks. |

I like songs that have a "mini-climax" towards the beginning that sets the mood of the track-
Examples:
The Quest - C Sharp (Original Mix)
Cosmic Gate - Should Have Known (Wippenberg Remix)
Way Out West - Don't Forget Me (WOW's Dustbiter Remix)
The Killers - Read My Mind (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)
Or any other songs w/ a huge surprising climax-
Examples:
Faithless - Insomnia
Also, love that huge "atmospheric vibe"-
Examples:
Most Planisphere songs ("NYE")
Kosmas Epsilon - Innocent Thoughts (Original Mix)
Cass & Slide - Perception
Viton & Stel - Wooden Swordz (Kosmas Epsilon Remix)
Tilt - 12 |

I hate basslines that don't change with the melody, such as
Twilight- Dreams Will Come True
it really pisses my off! :whip: :whip: :whip:
I LOVE that sick hardstyle distorted bassline, like the ones in:
Twisters Silence- Listen To Me mama (scot Project Remix)
Rumble! feat. Dick Rules- Tricky Tricky (Hard club mix) :D |

If you like fart sounds..sure :D
I don't hate all psy, but the stuff that over-uses effects sounds really annoying and corny. Prog-psy is preferred, because it doesn't seem to rely so much on acidy noises. |

I'm by no means a goa/psy expert, but I know that I like Man With No Name's style... Do you know what type of goa/psy is that? |
