Looks like good shark Temps, use lots of good fish that have high oil content for chum slick, set lines at diff. heights and distance. Sometimes I go 80-100+ yards out...keep the chum very active, get lots of it as the warm temps will "de-Ice" it fast.. |
Ed I'm gonna PM you my phone number ok??....We''ll probably do all the tricks in the book with balloons,,kites and trolling etc... |

| yep PM me, thats cool....you know, come to think of it I used a Big styrofoam bobber for the shark...better than a ballon, and easy to set depths.... |

Here is the short review version (because I'm way to tired to post a full version.)
Steven and I both caught a few King Fish, one Mahi Mahi, and a 250 pound (at least) Bull Shark. We used one of the King fish we caught as bait to catch the shark. There is plenty more to this story which I'm sure you will hear from Steven or myself soon.......along with the pics. I have to pick up a flash memory drive tomorrow to upload the photos.
What a crazy day! |

What else can I say other than "ING HELL"....What a ing day...The details are kinda graphic but wtf....As Brian said we caught a couple of kingfish and a small dolphin but who gives a because all we wanted to do is catch sharks....And we did....
About an hour from the end of the charter I'm steaming drunk on bonine and budweiser and an idea came into my head...Why not cut the head off one of the kingfish,,,put it on a hook and try our luck...Next minute,,Brians got a shark on...
After a long fight Brian lands a big bull shark...After that we were like " it time to go home",,,but the excitement was far from over...
We get back to the dock,,get the fish off the boat for photos..Someone said it was still alive so captain Mike stuck a knife in his head and finished it off...However it was still moving and this is why...There were 9 baby sharks in it still alive...All of a sudden me and Brian were rescuing these beautiful little baby sharks...How we got them out is graphic,,so I wont even go there but I'm sure you can imagine....
We immediately threw them into the water,,,and off they swam...
I'm kinda still ed up on beer so I'll let Brian tell you the more accurate story...But this is pretty damn close....

I'm not a big fan of harming anything but the captain said that they are a real big problem in Florida.....I must admit,,I feel kinda ty today that the fish died but killing it wasn't our decision.. |

Sometime things have to be done, can you eat a Bull? We dont get them up north. ESPN2 had some great sharking on last night..So lucky you get to fish in FL, boats are just starting to get in the water here (non-party boats).....Drum fishing in a few weeks |

Ok,,Ed you might be able to help us here...Brian did some research last night and it turns out that it couldn't have been a bull shark,,,this is why...
A bull shark lays eggs and isn't live bearing...
Yes you can eat it..Within 30 minutes of getting back to the dock,,,a chinaman was there taking its fins...
we saw the shows on ESPN also,,,,,did you see that chick with the great ass catching big fish?????? |
