noob here with a padkontrol ?tion

just got my padkontrol yesterday at the guitar center it only came with the plugin and the librarian software went on the website and if my package didnt come with the bundle i have to wait 5-6 weeks after i mail in the coupon to get it but i want to start using it now with fruityloops unless someone can advice me to a better program to use this with, but the question at hand is i have it all set up for the most part i know how to program all the scenes and notes on it i understand how to use the roll and flam features when i open fruityloops it makes noise when i hit the buttons just how to i get each button to represent a diffrent instrument vs just a note of the instrument that i have selected... furthermore how to get it it to record the midi that i am playin sorry for such a noob question but im sure with this i will be able to figure the rest out on my own thanks sean
and by diffrent instument i mean diffrent sound effects or high hats and snares for drums... thanks again |

as far as i know you cant use different instruments, only notes.
as well read the sticky threads at the top of this forum i'm sure they will help you a lot |

| is that just for fruity loops or is that for the pad control in general... because i have seen demos and stuff where they have a whole drum kit on the pad snare tom kick ect.. do they assign diffrent midi chans to each sound effect n correspond it with the program in use? or can this just not be obtainable in fl stuido or is this just a general thing for all programs |

| Great bit of gear that one, I was too late to help, but yeah I had the same experience, few hours and it was my bitch. Makes for heaps better drum programing |
