Ismael Rodriguez rocked my PVD nite!!!!

while everyone still mesmerized/dissapointed from PVD performance... i'd like to take my time to review my PVD nite exprience that i spent downstairs in the cirque Lounge... (i saw pvd moved too much, so active, so i thought he was a clone of PVD, the real one might get kidnapped for private dj in north korea... just maybe)
anyways... the cirque Lounge... which i think is the best room in 1015 anyways, not stuffy, lots of dancing room, great ceiling light, and great sound... but what impressed me the most about the cirque lounge that night is Ismael Rodriguez's set! (imma refer to him as "ish")
so i came down to the basement at 1:30 am to catch the last of cyberjoe's set (good one too btw), and 2:00 am comes along Ish started playing (it was his cd release night also!) and i want to compliment him for having courage of playing what he loves most, which is psytrance and progressive techno trance! as expected (from my previous experiences) the dance floor kinda dissipates a lil bit when crowd hears psy trance... hmmm people must be thinking... "what the heck kinda trance is this???" it's only natural... not that the music was bad, it's actually my fillet mignon of trance! but it's because they're still new to some people... and i dunno if all the people down in the cirque lounge were there to dance anyways or what... (the couches was full)
anyways, great job ISh for sticking to the style! it rocked me and my gf silly for sure... Ish played for 2 hours and it was one of my best nights in 1015, honestly i was tired and sober before he started playing, i was dancing like crazy to his set until my gf had to remind me not to leave her into the psyworld because she was being bugged by psycho 1015 dudes...and as the night goes on i see more and more people starting to dance... see a moshpit!!! see people busting moves like in raves... it was great energy! whatever they're on... if music suck people arent gonna move! but they MOVED! it was an awesome nite overall... great transition too Ish!, i like how you keep the energy flowing from one song to the next no silly breakdowns :happy2: :happy2: about 3:30 am (???i was so lost in time???) he started handing out Alliance CDs... download that when u have a chance to give you a lil preview of j00f nite, 4 am hits all of a sudden, yep it was that fast!, and he ended it with '3rd time lucky' track from J00f and Astrix... ( i think he's previewing the j00f nite that's coming 3 weeks from now, and YES... ISH will open for j00f so BE THERE!!!)
for those of you that missed his set.. i really recommend going to the j00f show early, and listened to Ish's set... no sissy trance for sure from this guy! prepare to get your dance on!!!!
there ya go! i had an awesome PVd nite experience, xcept i didnt spend it with the clone PVD and i didnt regret!!! Ismael Rodriguez set was the highlight of the nite!!! any of you think of this? |

This is an awsome post.
Its always nice to hear replies like this, I did not get the chance to go down to the cirque lounge on Sat. Kinda wish now I could have.
I know several other people that were probably going nuts, who love psytrance.

me and gypsygirl are the best at putting pressure on opening djs... haahha... just like we did to Bob for Astrix show hahaha!
well dont worry Ismael, you'll do just fine, you'll warm us up (or even kill my legs) before j00f! |

I'll have ALLIANCE for the 19th. I need to get working on ALLIANCE 2 now. The mix is already done so I need to get the cd's ready.
Both cd's have tracks that I played last saturday at PVD and i'll be playing some of them again for Joof as well plus some new stuff I didn't play.
Hope everyone enjoys it. Dont forget to email me for guestlist as well.
