Essential Mixes...

Sander hasn't had one to himself since Aug03, and none since Mar04.
Tenaglia, not in forever...has he even had one since 94? (I know I could look this up...)
Chus & Ceballos...never?

David Guetta, DJ Vibe, Hernan Cattaneo, Victor Calderone, Saeed Younan, Creamer & K, 16 Bit Lolitas, Dean Coleman, Trent Cantrelle, Nathan Barato?

I'm aware they have to keep pushing "today's sound", but it's not like a bunch of these cats either don't fit that bill, or have lost their superstar status, or haven't been invited to WMC (meaning they're in top demand).

What the dizzle?
Turntabulls
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
for sure.

Why don't you ask Pete Tong?
Big Boss
Victor's had 2 I think.

DJ Vibe's radio show has been awesome of late.

Not really a fan of Essential Mixes anyway.

Hi...my name is Nada. Who are you?
Orko
It could be a lot of things really.

I think Tong and the show's staff does a pretty good job of getting big names, up and comers, as well as new talent. The simple fact is, there are just too many DJs out there, and there just is not enough room.

They have 50+ shows a year, most of which are done by a single DJ. Now think of all the DJs you would like to hear from, and multiply that by all the fans of the show.

Your best bet is to just email Tong. He does actually read a lot of emails, and they do take suggestions.

does SVD have a mix?

Yes. June 06.
I think that EM helped him be known more. That final push to land him among 'big names', or be pretty close to that.

Pete Tong also has to balance out for demands for the 'popular' DJs, esp. at big festivals which gets air time few times a year and finding new talent and up and comers.

Plus he doesn't cover just house and trance. Covers the lesser known variety too. Though less often these days IMO.

He may be a DJ, but he does have a decent variety of taste in EDM

I'll get on that, right after AVB spins an EM.

Who cares about AvB. Ask him after Ferry.

Speaking of people who don't need any more EMs, what is up with Armin and Oakey keep getting EMs?
