It depends what you want to do.
If your into adventure type stuff then definately New Zealand. If you want a country with a great variety of cities, night life, music etc the go Australia.

Yea, if you're there to travel or have some fun for a short period of time it's awesome. So many places to see.
If you plan on living there then once you settle in, it can get a bit boring. |

| Great skiing and sightseeing, highly recommend it for that. Not into the adventuring type of stuff myself, but it's cheap and has a good exchange rate for the $. |

| I'd love to check it out for a week, but it's not something I'd go spending a huge amount of money on if I had something better to do with it, and I'd never live there. |

Yes there is good skiing in Australia and it doesn't cost much to fly over to NZ and ski there anyway. |
