Agreed. Hardstyle is the A.D.D. cousin to all things intelligent music.

There are a few tracks that actually work best at those speeds. But I'd say 99,9% of the music I've heard that was that fast didn't have any rhythm or drive, just pounding jackhammer hits.

Then you two obviously haven't heard drum'n'bass. Speed is anywhere between 160 and 180 BPM, usually it's 173 I think... And it's far from pounding jackhammer hits. ;) It simply has different structure so it can be pretty fast without sounding ridiculous like gabber and other similar hardcore garbage.

Here, this isn't too fast for a drum'n'bass track, but it's over 160 BPM for sure:

He obviously hasn't attended a drum'n'bass event. It's pretty danceable. Of course dancing to drum'n'bass won't be the same as dancing to 125 BMP house or 135 BPM trance or 145 BPM techno, but that doesn't mean it's impossible to dance to.

I like hardstyle a bit, but I like hardcore much more. In fact, hardcore's almost the only kind of EDM music I listen to these days. Have interest in some other genres than EDM only nowdays, so I don't really listen to EDM so much anymore. But it's hardcore what I'm going to listen if I'm going to touch any EDM right at this moment.

And about that guys site... it was super creepy :nervous:

+1

and i also think edm can be devided simply into dance music and electronic music i know its a genre in whole but not everything electronic has to be danceble.

Haha, it's kinda funny that you imply that I said that it's "impossible to dance to" when all I did was asking how you dance to jungle.....you, sir, work on your ABC's and learn to read please before making an ass out of yourself.:)

d+b sucks to dance to. its just a load of pot heads taking ages to pluck up the courage to get on the dancefloor. then they dance at half speed in a stupid swaying motion. ps. it needs an mc to liven up the boring monotonous beats and lack of memorable melodies.
