Hes DJ Murphy.

Too bad nobody in NYC would book this guy. Promoters are too busy bringing in Tiesto, AVB, etc. this guy is huge in Europe and Latin America as of right now. He also was on the main stage for the last Love Parade in Berlin.

Wouldn't surprise me if Murphy gets booked soon for Exit (if he hasn't been booked yet). The Doojee crew tends to do some serious techno parties.

can someone explain to me how the needle stays on the record if it's positioned at a 90 degree angle? :conf:

I was wonderin the same thing...ive seen this before when i used to watch some of the old DMC Technics championships back when i started using turns...

i think you have to adjust the weight of the tone arm in some way that it will bring pressure toward the cartridge side of the arm which keeps the needle pressed against the record. Just my guess though ;)

That really ruins the record though, and I don't think it would work the same when put on a 90 degree angle, idk how the hell he does it!

yep that really wears the records...even scratch tool vinyls which are made for rough usage.
StanVoid
