Oakenfold in Tahoe on May 26th...Please read!

| First of all, I want to let everyone know that Oak is spinning in Tahoe on May 26th at the MontBleu Casino Resort. But here's the thing, I saw Oakenfold about 10 times back in the late 90's and early 2000's when he was in his prime. Basically back then Oak was the ing man and nobody could top his live shows. Well it's been about 5-6 years since I've last seen him live and it's seems that in that time he's kind of gone mainstream and lost his roots to his true progressive trance style. I'm a little apprehensive about going because I don't want to be disappointed. So has anyone seen Oak lately that can calm my fears and tell me that his shows are still the same ol' Oakenfold or were you disappointed as well? Thank you in advance for your input. |

| he's pretty disappointing i think its more about the name right now than anything else right now. and he trainwrecks a lot....and i mean big bad double clapping trainwrecks. |

Even if Oakey doesnt turn out good, at least you still have Tahoe to party at. All I have heard from everyone is lately his sets have been sub-par with child-like mixing skills.
But there's always the afterparty at the other club in the hotel! |

I saw him when he was in Sactown last year and I was satisfied BEFORE the complete DJ no-no he pulled, stopping a track right in the middle and replacing it with something else. No mix. It was silence for too long. And I don't even understand why, because the mix-in to the song was fantastic. Maybe he just decided it wasn't the song he wanted to play. Completely killed my vibe that night.
Yeah he does like to play pop and definetaly doesn't spin his pre 2000 record collection anymore. |
