Overcrowded. Well all I can say is it's about time.
VIBE deserves to headline at a venue which is rammed. His visit to Sonic last summer was botched by poor promotions and a less than inspiring opening set by Nevio. And while I enjoyed VIBE's set at the Docks last month, he started too late, and I don't think the crowd had much left after C+C (not to mention the Steve Lawler party the night before).
This night should be different. Given Barato's appreciation for VIBE and his Portuguese roots, I expect him to deliver a killer opening set. VIBE will finally be able to feed off the energy of a big crowd that is properly warmed up...

OK. So if you like TIL and Vibe, what is the problem exactly? How is it "a really bad venue"? Which venue is more appropriate? |

The "DJ Vibe experience" is maximized in a certain setting. A glammy club like This is London is not the right setting. Somewhere like Footwork or The Zone I think would have been more appropriate. |

I dunno man, Vibe has been playing every month at Lux in Lisbon for years, which, by all accounts, is pretty glam. I don't see why his tunes won't be perfect for TIL. I guess we'll see.
Footwork is way too small and the Zone seems a bit unrealistic. Crosstown perhaps fits the bill, but again, I think it is a bit too small.
Anyway, I hope you reconsider. You're one of the few Vibe connaisseurs that I know, up there with Little Jimmy. It won't be the same without you. :wtf: |

I like London and I like Vibe. Hmmmm....
Hope Manzone and Strong are on the bill though.
Vibe has been bringing it this past year tho. I've always been high on him, but now it's on another level.
His new CD came out on Tuesday. It's a double disc with Stephan Grondin and it's for Stereo Nightclub! |
