Well god damn. Went there alone after hours tonight (Cielo was kinda dead tonight - weird), first time there. Holy cannoli. The closest thing to Arc that I've seen. Good sound, freaky people, no attitude. I know there have been 10,000 events there already that I should have gone to, it's ridiculous that I'm just figuring it out, but whatever. Great place. Any events happening there will take priority for me from here on out.

Ok, n00b out...

I don't think i'd want made to start doing events there. i like all the room on the dancefloor (Ok, i was there from 4 to 5:30, but i'm assuming it's manageable even at peak hours...)

I love Love.. after going last weekend, it will be on my radar next time I am in the city.

It was fantastic.. :) The temperature was maintained and the crowd was great.. only wish they had a mirror or 2.

It is one of the greatest little clubs I have ever been to..

Love is a very special place. I have been lucky enough to have had a residency there for the last year and a half, and it has been nothing short of amazing. The venue itself is just so unique...everyone knows how good the sound is, but besides that, you can tell that so much effort went into making each and every room in the venue unique in its own way. From the cave-like main bar, to the fuzzy room, the black light room, and of course the main room and insane dj booth.

Definitely keep your eyes open for some mega huge nights coming up this Summer.

Love has quickly become my favorite place to DJ, relax, go crazy, hear good music, and get hammered. Doesn't get much better, IMO.

See you on 5/18 for Dave Seaman ;)

Yes. Not to mention the whole vibe (and esp. crowd and admission prices) would change. its also the *wrong* venue for MADE -- it totally would NOT accommodate the type of crowd a Made Event would bring. (well i could see Holden and a few others at LOVE but still..)

They have the superclubs, as well as Cielo. Let it stay that way. There are plenty of other venues they can go to, before considering LOVE.

Let the venue stay underground, local, and 'for the people' - its so awesome right now -- and also we are so lucky to have amongst us the best local talent and promoters who use the space wisely and who have the love -- and the drive -- to do what's best for the scene.

Did you go to the Burridge and M.A.N.D.Y. afterhours there?
Love is the prefect venue for *some* MADE events. Steve is losing money with that venue he put so much money into and has a lot of potential to be more than what it is. Not necessarily commercialised, but at least get more people from the scene to go there.

it could be...if used wisely. Burridge would be awesome...i went to a Burridge party at Cielo and i think it would do well at LOVE as well

yea, money is always an issue :(

...i just do not want to see LOVE being used for more commercial/larger events and have it lose what it currently *has*. I don't want to see the bottle crowd/etc. or the guidos coming to LOVE <-- but unfortunately those two crowds probably are what brings in the money for clubs (liquor/tables etc). I would so hate to see that tho...at LOVE. That is why i prefer that it stays underground (even if it is kinda unrealistic). I love it that ppl were able to bring Andy Moor to LOVE...that Sasha knows about it enough to choose it as a venue to spin at...and that Thrillseekers will be playing at LOVE in August, thanks to our locals/promoters. if MADE can book djs and keep in mind the space capacity etc. AND keep the admissions price low...then yes i would love to see some events there...

for instance, i still can't see how they can book Ferry at Cielo and NOT have it become overcrowded and overheated...maybe the fact that the party is on a SUNDAY will help. I thought last year's 'private' party (on a Tuesday) was a good enough size. Any more crowded than that, well i dunno...
