| Unfortunately mayweather is gonna destroy de la hoya. I'd like to see mayweather in the cage with someone who can do more than throw fists down. |

you think so?
I am a huge DLH fan, and I will admit, I am a Mayweather hater, but that was a fair decision IMO. When they announced that DLH won on the first judge's score card I was shocked. My card was 115-113 for Mayweather.
what really pissed me off was at the end of the fight Lampley made a back handed comment about MMA and its fighters not being as skilled as boxers. I lost a lot of a respect for Lamps with that comment. Thankfully, Max Kellerman defended MMA immediately after. |

have to disagree. As much as i hate mayweather, and as much as i like De la Hoya, de la hoya did not win this fight. It shouldn't have even gone to split decision. Mayweather was crisper, landed more punches and more power punches, and generally looked better.
I get so frustrated when de la hoya fights because he never goes for the kill. There were at least two times when de la hoya could have put that nasty left hook on mayweathers chin but he backed away. He needed to be much more aggressive. Also, de la hoya was in too close when he was trying to flurry. If he took a half a step back on those exchanges he would have done much more damage. |

+1
I also love DLH, but i also like PBF. PBF clearly won the fight, flurries at the end of rounds don't get the job done.. if DLH only jabbed more, he would of had a much better chance, but easier said than done |

| I watched the fight. De la Hoya was very aggressive but alot of his stuff didn't land. I was impressed by his endurance. We all thought he was going to break wind around the 8th but he kept his hands moving. If he would of just stuck with that jab it might of went the other way. Mayweather look more like a champ trying to play it safe then a contender. |

Just on those comments alone it shows you how much fear they have that mma is going to replace boxing. |

De La Hoya won hands down....He promoted his own fight and walked away with $35 million as opposed to Mayweathers $10 million....This has got rematch written all over it...DLH must be laughing his off....
You people must have watched a different fight than the rest of the world... |

he may have made a ton of money, and I guess in that respect he won...but the judges (minus Chuck Giampa) scored the fight correctly. Judging fights is subjective of course, but i think most unbiased people thought Mayweather won. It wasn't a dominant performance by any means, but he definitely landed more punches(compubox stats confirmed) and IMO he landed the cleaner shots.
I wish like hell that DLH won, but he just didn't. |

agreed 100%, and i HATE mayweather. I wish De la Hoya ripped him, and then jumped in the stands and knocked out 50 cent. That piece of . |

| as much as i wanted de la hoya shut his black ass from talking so much, i must say it def wasnt de la hoya win....but it DEFINTELY wasnt mayweathers fight!! that was such BS. should of been a draw...both fighters stood good till the end. sucked that the fight didnt come nowhere near my expectations...not one good punch from either landed, everything was mostly blocked, they stood feelin each other up for the most part! fight was boring but i would like to see a rematch |
