Bathroom Attendants at Clubs (pg. 6)

I give the guy $2 at the beginning of the night and then more if I take gum or get deodorant from dood.

I don't mind paying the guy for soap service, towels or anything else. $2 added onto a night isn't going to break the bank and the guy usually remembers me and says "hi" and makes the bathroom more fun - so why not?

I wonder how much further this tipping business will get.

I usually don't give em anything cause they don't do anything for me. Gum I can get from my friends for free. Cologne is pointless cause a) everyone else stinks anyway b) you'll be back to stinktown within 30 minutes anyway, so unless you keep re-applying cologne every 30 minutes, it's kind of pointless, c) Eau Du Guv is a much much stronger scent than any cologne, and d) it's understandable if after a night of clubbing you don't smell your best because of a, b,and c. And paper towels? In the rare case that I use them (you're going back into a sweaty hot club, what's the point of keeping your hands dry?), I'm certainly not paying for them. I don't really know why the club put them there, and I'm not required to pay their salary.

there have been many times where ive overheard the women's bathroom attendant in the gallery ask/nag people for tips by rambling about her hard/poor life. its uncomfortable and a buzzkill. attendants shouldn't pressure people for tips.

I personally know some people who during the week work @ shopper's drug mart as cosmeticans and then on weekends or certian nite's they work @ C Lounge in the washroom helping girls with their make up.

They actually do get paid by the Club.

Gotta love the English prescriptivists who don't even bother to do their research. It's in the dictionary and has been for a few hundred years. I notice he's also got a page dedicated to the use of the word "impact" as a verb, decrying it as pretentious business jargon and apparently not realizing that the word was in use as a verb for nearly 200 years before it was ever used as a noun.

Granted, "theirselves" is not in common use, and I wouldn't use it in an important report precisely because I wouldn't want people reading it and thinking to themselves, "is that even a word?" But really, if you're going to criticize, do your own homework first, and try to make sure your information is coming from a reputable source.

Hmmm, I posted the first result I got when I googled "theirselves"... so sorry about that.

I recently bought a pair of sunglasses from the bathroom attendant in the comfort zone.

YUP..ME TOO, honestly i dont know why their there either, i can choose whether i want to dry my hands or not, maybe their there to make sure there are no fights?..i dunno
FOOTWORK
More people complain about dirty washrooms without attendants rather than clean ones with attendants. They are there for several reasons but mainly to keep them clean and as a drug deterrent. It's for the safety of the customers and is not a cash grab for the club. You are not expected to tip the staff and if you are ever harassed, please let management know.

And that's the truth!:toothless

That's the more polite version of what I mean't to say.

yes they do clean the bathrooms.

they provide toilet paper when it's out.

they do all that, at least in the girls rooms and at sonic.
