They just don't do it like this anymore (vocal trance) (pg. 2)

I'm not going to lie... 95% of vocal trance has just hideously cheesy vocal lines - the writing is so basic, and without depth. However, its those 5 percent that can absolutely blow your mind, when cleverly placed at the heart/peak of a set. Ahhh those have been some of the greatest times of my life.

You can see forever
Look inside of your mind
Find a sense another wonder
Just release the fears you left behind
Feel your way through the darkness
Guide your soul into the light
Swim into the open water
Drift on the tides that you may find
Find your soul in the sunrise
Look around you can see it in their eyes
Be as one together
Rise up as the emptiness subsides
You can see forever
Rise up together
Search and you will find the answer
If you look deep inside of your mind

Faithless consistently put out very good stuff. For the most part, those days are over. There are still some notable examples today, but very few.
Abercrombie
Ian Van Dahl was my favourite in the early 90s. Reason, Will I?, Castles in the Sky, that ACE album was set to repeat on my cd player for a whole year.

I'd kill to go back in those days, with the above and Lasgo, Alice DeeJay, Rollergirl, 4-Strings, iio.... those were my best times.

/yeah yeah, not all trance, I know, but 2001-2003 were awesome years for EDM vocals.

Same here. I still listen to their Lost & Found album every now and then.

Pretty sure those two tracks come out in the 2000s AJ! ;)

2002, 2003 if I recall correctly (*maybe* one came out in 2001, not sure)

but pretty sure they not 90s songs! ;) hehe

yeah, typo... sorta half-assed corrected myself in the end. Castles was 2001 and Alice DeeJay even earlier.. so the 2001-2003 period. oh and I forgot the Vengaboys (yeah you others laugh now, but everyone liked them back then)

Rui Da Silva - Touch me

You will always be my baby
I'm always thinking of you baby, yeah

Touch me in the morning
And last thing at night
Keep my body warm baby
You know it feels right

Take a little higher
I'm thinking it too (too)
Tell me what you're feeling
I feel it with you

We can only understand what we are shown
How was I supposed to know our love would grow

Come a little closer
Things sure are looking up
Heal me with your loving
I need you so much
I need you so much
I need you so much

We can only understand what we are shown
How was I supposed to know our love would grow
You touch my mind in special places
My heart races with you

I'll take your love and I'll take my chances
I'll take them with you

We can only understand what we are shown
How was I supposed to know our love would grow

You touch my mind in special places
My heart races with you

love it. one of my all-time favourites, never gets old

if there's one vocal trance track i still listen to, it's this:
Rio Klein - Fearless (Agnelli & Nelson Remix)

such a beauty.

Dive into the open,
feel you on my lips,
silence and rainbow,
your on my fingertips,
fly fearless.

Lean into this wing,
no armors render me,
cold me in your parlen,
I'll grow from underneath,
leave the day behind,
in the nightsky we will find,
your world, and mine,
as we paint our place in time,
we'll fly fearless.

Follow, i see you holding the sky out to me.
Follow, you leave my heart to the warmth of summer.
Follow, i see you holding the sky out to me.
Follow, you leave my heart to the warmth of summer.
