The aLive ethos:
aLive’s driving commitment is to provide upcoming electronic music artists with a platform to deliver their music to appreciative audiences, and to promote the artists and their music to the wider community.
aLive is a community focused organization set on bringing together music lovers and performers in a unique atmosphere outside of the deafening world of club land.
The important details:
When: Saturday 26th May 2007
Time: 4 pm to 1 am
Cost: $5
The acts & set times:
17:00 - 18:00 : The Avatar (Minimal)
18:10 - 19:10 : Ehsan Gelsi (Electro)
19:20 - 20:20 : The Scratch Foundation (Funk Breaks)
20:30 - 21:30 : Roxymoron (Electro Breaks)
21:40 - 22:40 : Rusty O'Hara (Progressive)
22:50 - 23:50 : Grumpo (Psy-Goa Trance)
24:00 - 01:00 : KL & Cam (Techno)

Where is it?
Carni, 60 High Street, Preston, Melbourne.
How to get there?
By car:
Check your Melways. Street parking only. Should be easy enough to find somewhere to park.
By tram:
Catch the 86 from the city. Get off at the Plenty Road and High St. intersection, walk 100 meters down High St. towards Bell St. On your right you will find Carni. (a 2 story red brick building)
By train:
Catch the Epping train from Flinders St. and get off at Preston station. Walk back towards Hutton St. and turn left onto Hutton. At High St. turn left and walk towards the High St. Plenty Road intersection, walk 100 meters down High St. towards Bell St. On your right you will find Carni. (a 2 story red brick building)
Want to play?
We want your demo, so, come to the gig with a CD and the Application Form filled out and ask for one of the crew to have a chat.
The only thing we ask is that you come along and support the acts and event that wants to support you.

We have just secured "Cinematic Accompaniment" to provide some interesting live visuals at the event, he's taking over an entire wall and plastering it with ever changing and down right bloody cool images over the course of the whole night!!!!!!

I was there at the last Flirt a few weeks ago. Had never been before, seems quite a nice little venue. Of course, I don't know what it looked like before.
