Hello!

First im gonna make clear that im aware that there are already similar threads to this one altough they ask for recommendations for tracks in other genres.

I've come to found out about Acid House just a short time ago. Im really not into this as much or not at all to be exact. I found this track, "Paul Rutherford - Get Real" in the Darren Emerson GU comp as the last track of the second cd and as soon as i heard it i fell in love with it. Other artists i know about is "The Shamen" which i think produced some acid house, like LSI which also is a great track.

Does anyone know about and could recommend other similar tracks and producers of Acid House that i would appreciate?

Cheers! :gsmile:

The very first acid track was "Phuture - Acid Trax", which is eight minutes of fantastic squelch.

Also I'd recommend:

Antoine Clamaran - Take Off (Original or Dave Spoon Remix)
Dexter - Acid Lullaby
Dave Spoon - Acid Box

Not really my forte I'm afraid.

Take Off ( Dave Spoon Rmx ) FTW !!!

Are you refering to the old genre "Acid House" or just modern house with acid sounds?

Anyway you should check out these classics if possible.
They are from the early 90s Acid House era.

The Hypnotist - The House Is Mine
Praga Khan - Injected With A Poison
Human Resource - Dominator
Project-K
In case you haven't heard it yet...

I can't say any of those tracks are "acid". The Praga Khan & Human Resource tracks came several years after the main acid phase of the late 80's & use the Belgian Hoover noise made famous by Second Phase - Mentasm.

If you want the original 303 acid noise try looking for stuff like

Bam Bam "Where Is You Child"
Jolly Roger "Acid Man"
Phuture "Acid Tracks"
Armando "151"
Six Brown Brothers "Battery Acid"
Hot Hanas Hula "Hot Hands"
Jack Frost & The Circle Jerks "Acid Rout"

I have loads more of this stuff stored in the loft :) Some of this was pretty hard it must have been mental hearing it all night through a big rig in a club/warehouse :)

There was also a lot of housier stuff, often with vocals which appeared alongside the hard 303 acid tracks on many acid albums of the time. I used to have the Paul Rutherford track on vinyl but must have ditched it. Havent heard it in years but from what I remember it was vocal with a few 303 noises chucked in for good measure. If you want some housier style tracks of that era give me a shout & I'll see if I can dig out some of my ancient vinyls.

Depends on how "acid" you want to go, but yeah, the ones you mentioned are probably more "acid" :toocool:

Thanks very much guys for all for the tip/s. The ones you listed are all very good acid tracks, like Phuture "Acid Tracks" for ex, but...

I should be more clearer in my question. Im looking for those more housey acid tracks, preferably with male vocals, similar to the tracks i mentioned.

More of the UK acid house cup of tea.
Psy-T
Pierre's Pfantasy Club

edit: despite the fact they didn't really use 303's that often, they are still considered acid, and they're from the uk: 808 State
