For my next PC that I'm building, I wanna get a mobo that has the following stuff on it at least...

-AMD Athlon 64 X2 support (socket AM2) OR Intel C2Duo support (socket?)
-800Mhz FSB would be nice
-support up to 4gb of ram (8gb would be nice)
-3 PCI slots
-minimum 1 PCI-express x16 slot
-minimum 1 PCI express x1 slot
-support for 4 SATA-II devices
-support for 4 IDE devices (2 at the very least)
-2 or more usb 2.0 ports
-1 or more firewire ports hopefully
-integrated LAN 10/100
-must not have any Via chipset
-doesn't need integrated audio or video
-the usuals of course... kb/mouse/serial ports
-full-tower would be OK, but prefer mid-tower or smaller size
-I'm going to be adding a couple extra fan-less cooling methods to keep it cool & quiet.. so whatever that might require.

I'm guessingna decent 500W power supply would be needed for such a beast.

I've seen boards on newegg.com but many don't quite cut it. That's why I'm askin for your help!... much appreciated!

I'll prolly ask about compatible CPUs later on... lol

I'm using the Asus A8n-SLI Deluxe...heres the premium version which is basically the same thing...and I'm using an Athlon 64 FX 55 CPU. I built it over a year ago when the 7800GTX came out, along with 2 Western Digital 10,000 rpm Raptor drives in Raid 0 array and its been one hell of a stable, fast system.

You can't go wrong with this mobo. The DFI Lanparty is another great choice. I don't know what your budget is but if your looking to build a nice machine, thats a good place to start.

Check out the intel original board or chipset boards. Intel chipsets are used by many other companies manufacturing mother boards
The G965 chipset will be good for you

I use the following original intel board
http://www.intel.com/products/mothe...965WH/index.htm

You can check other options too from the intel site and order accordungly from any other store
