well, since i live on the south side, relatively speaking, you're just down the street.

it keeps getting better and better in this area... my fav sushi spot now comes to me!!!

South Coast
1700 S. Michigan Ave.
312-662-1700

The folks behind Bucktown's 'Coast' have opened a South Loop sibling. Look for a menu of faves from the original location; plus fresh options like seared sesame scallops on spinach with toasted yolk sauce, a tuna and super white tuna roll sans seaweed and a teriyaki ribeye steak. They're even beefing up the daily specials here – look for choices like sea bream (aka dorade) and geoduck (a giant clam with a rich shellfish flavor). You'll have to keep your eyes open as signage is minimal -- owners are still waiting for the permanent signage to get installed.

Hours: 4-11 p.m. Monday-Saturday; 4-10 p.m. Sunday

and the best part = BYOB

Pretty reasonable prices there too! Have you tried Room 21 yet on S. Wabash? We went a couple weeks ago and it was great! Very cool place and great food.
