| So I just got CuBase and installed it on my computer. I set up my MIDI controller as well. CuBase shows that it is connected and when I hit a note the MIDI connection shows that there is activity. However there is a lag between the time I hit a note and hearing a sound. This also happens when I use a VST soft synth like the monolouge, so I know it isn't just the controller/MIDI connection. Also, I am having trouble acessing the sound banks on my synths. I want to be able to use them however I can't seem to get them to work. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Latency, make your sound card buffer size smaller. Search the forum, this has been answered a million times (Hint - read the stickies).

Oh! So you have a bunch of bank/preset files on your comp but you don't know how to import them? Read the manual, it will be in there. Every synth has its own bank/preset import button, but most sequencers (Cubase) also have one - so it will be in the manual for the synth AND the manual for Cubase. |

| yes i have my manual for my synth and i will check that out, but i dont have one for cubase but ill see whats up with some tutorials. i played around with bitmatching and some stuff with my sound card to see if i can get the latency up but no luck so far. thanks for all your help though. |

| My Cubase Studio 4 didn't come with a manual. Only a quickstart tutorial book. There is a digital manual on the DVD however. |

A digital manual is a manual, is it not? |
