I recently bought an efx-500 off ebay, its pretty much in mint condition. I have a Stanton Smx-401 mixer and 2cdj 800's, and so i hooked up the efx to the mixer with 1/4" phone jacks like the manual states.
Now heres the problem, the effects aren't working properly. When I turn on the fx loop button to enable the effects from the efx this kinda hissing sound starts, almost as blowing through an aluminum pipe... is this normal? second the effects are totally working half ass... the only effects that somewhat work properly are the echo and delay. Its almost like the effects are running in the background and not actually manipulating the song, you can really see this when i try using the zip effect.
One thing to mention is that when i plug the headphones into the efx all the effects work how they should be.... and ive also tested the efx on a friends mixer and its the same problem.... anyone have an issue like this before? any help would really be appreciated... Im almost out of ideas with this....thanks |
