Insane night. Pure fun. Think Taj and Dirtyhertz showed that you can play a different style from the headliner good and hard as long as you have the long come down to roll over into the headliner. Think they did a great job.! (That wasn't so bad, Taj, was it? :p)

Oh yeah and I much enjoyed the Dirtyhertz and Taj team. It was great watching them groove on stage with their big hair going crazy. :] You two look like brothers... The greatest cd-vinyl team ever!

Some great tracks you guys played. Almost like you went out of the standards of openers, hehe. You totally brought the energy on, I LOVED it.

Thank you very much!! Qoute of the night...2 guys say to Dirty & I...

"DOOD WE NEED TO GROW OUR HAIR LIKE YOURS!":stongue: :stongue: :stongue:

Oh & thank you to all the TA's that made it out on the earlier side of the night. Your support is loved!

Nice to meet Technotexan to!:D

wow what an amazing set from all three of you guys...there was this very progressive great that was uplifting towards the end of ferry's set...it was after junk but right before this vocal track.. I can't remember what time exactly but it was so damn nice... I wish I knew what it was...hopefully someone can post a tracklisting. Never heard it before. seemed brand new

Nice seeing everyone and I had an awesome night!

He just finished it Thursday night and it's schwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeet. There's a billion Halcyon remixes out there but this one is way up there as one of the best, IMO. Ferry loved it himself and asked for hit from Dirtyhertz (in which he took the opportunity to give him that plus some other of his remixes/tracks lol.)

This remix was smokin hot!!!!! VERY VERY impressed!!! Taj and dirtyhertz threw down an awsome opening set-I look forward to seeing more of them together in the future!!

As for Ferry.....honestly he was good and I had a great night but I def wont call it one of my favorite ferry nights. Like ALOT of headlining Dj's latley they have been starting a bit more proggy and building there sets. He played some good songs but nothing mind blowing

Dude! I liked your opening set! A WHOLE HELLUVA LOT ACTUALLY. It was completely on the basis of a discussion we had a few weeks ago. Getting up to the mid-high 130s at the peak of an opening set isn't going to be a huge issue if the style isn't epic (or that of the headlner's style). Your and Reza's opening set wasn't. It was very grinding, a bit of psytrance (about my pants when Infected Mushroom was layed down...hella slow! lol), etc. Nothing like Ferry's style.

I think your and Reza's approach to the opening set was very risky (considering it was Ruby Skye and it being that + Ferry means a good # of people were there who don't really know what expect and may not have liked how hard/fast you got), but it obviously worked. Crowd was going insane an hour before Ferry got on and even as you and Reza brought it back down over the last 45 minutes, it was so subtle and well done that there was no energy lost in the room. Playing the Orbital remix at the end was the clincher to a very good opening set. I heard Ferry talking to Reza how he loved his Halcyon remix and Ferry seemed very happy with your opening set.

Anyhow, what you and Reza did that was GREAT, IMO, other than just a different style (and for once, not just house!) was the come down from the banging tracks. Most openers bring it down, but they tend to it within like the last 15 minutes. You guys took your sweet time so it was a excellent transition.

It is why you, Taj, are who I consider the best opener period anywhere. I really do wish you would open up Ten15 more often. :p

Oh yeah, something you and Reza might like to hear. When Ferry was done and talking about how the place had a lot of energy from the moment he walked into the place, he mildly pointed ou that the openers did a good job. When he said his statement about the energy of the crowd, I was like "you have to thank Taj and Dirtyhertz for that, they got the crowd going," and he said (not in these exact words) "Yeah, from the sounds of it and what I heard they did a great job."

I had an amazing time Friday night! Taj and Dirty got the place hopping early on! The dance floor was packed and energetic which fed into Ferry's set seamlessly. Ferry continued to destroy the place for the next four hours. A bunch of my buddies from the south bay came out and they had a killer time.

I am pissed about a few things though. It seems that the Ruby Skye's crowd is getting worse and worse. I tried walking through the dance floor and one guy wanted to fight me because I walked in front of him and his GF. He said "dont ever walk in front of me again" while getting in my face...LOL... wtf.... I also got pick pocketed later on in the evening. I found out the next day that one of my buddies caught a guy grabbing at his back pocket in the crowd. Another one of my friends found his wallet laying on the stage with no money in it.

With people being aggro, that happens everywhere and hasn't changed. It's just worse on the busier and especially if the DJ brings in a mainstream crowd (who tend to be the aggro ones). If this event would have been on a Sunday night or any night that weeds out most mainstreamers, sure you wouldn't have run into that issue. It's why the non-Friday and non-Saturday Spundae events always have an amazing vibe. Markus will on Tuesday, and I am sure Armin will on July 15th.

In the end, it amazes me how many people I know who gets someone in their face as they are trying to walk through a crowd. I'm fat and I have NEVER had this happen to me. I think why is that as I'm going through the crowd I just keep yelling out "EXCUSE ME!.....THANK YOU!! Excuse, thanks bro. Sorry, I have big feet." and people are receptive to it. Can say this helps when people come past me through the crowd. If they barge through as if you weren't there that pisses me off. But just say excuse me or pardon me, and I am like no problem!

I cannot go Tuesday for Markus :(

Armin not looking so good. :(

WTF!!!

I cant believe something like that would happen... Makes me consider carrying my wallet in my front pocket.

part of the reason why I like to wear cargo pants. Also if they have a coat check u can leave it there.

I was actually "expecting" to get pick-pocketed as well before the night even started. I think anytime you go to a large venue like that with a crowd of people you can expect something like that to happen. Overall I had a great time, but am sorry to hear something like that happened.

On another note, I was kind of hoping Ferry would play "Fire". :thepirate
