i figured i might as well post mine - though it is boring.. std winXP looks, nothing more
oh yeah, i resized it a bit, i figured that 1600*1200 would not look nice on most monitors... hehehe so that is the 800*600 version |

Coup, sweet background.
Drizzt, christ, how big's your montior? I needed a magnifying glass to read your winamp list.
TranceSeeker and anyone else who asked about my background, I actually downloaded if off someone who posted it on these forums a while back in one of the smaller forums I believe his name was Elfsyonder or something to that effect. I simply went to the site and right clicked and selected "set as background", I don't know where'd it'd be stored. About the skin, I found it on some random site I searched for on google, try searching on google for skins and you should find some cool ones. |

Just a note to anyone looking for interesting Winamp skins:
Winamp's own web site actually has quite a good store of skins. Right now I can't seem to connect to it, so I can't provide a direct link. I believe it's http://www.winamp.com/skins. If that doesn't work, just go to http://www.winamp.com and browse to the "Skins" section.
Within the Skins section they have loads of skins subdivided by "genre." I particularly like the sci-fi/futuristic area, they tend to have some pretty funky skins.
Otherwise Damo's advice is excellent - Google never fails. |

BTW I almost forgot...
In regards to wallpapers, you MUST check out http://www.digitalblasphemy.com/dbhome.shtml. Digital Blasphemy is a great place to find great wallpapers. They're mostly done by software renderers/3D animation programs. Some of them are so-so, but most are very very nice. There's a "Member's" section for paying members, but don't worry about it - the free galleries provide plenty of good material. :) Each wallpaper is available for download at different sizes, so you can download the one that fits your resolution best (without needing to stretch it - thereby distorting it). I frequent the "Top 10" section from time to time, it gives you an idea of what wallpapers are popular (therefore "good"). :D
Otherwise, Google works too. |
