Yeah, I have dabbled in production a fair bit over the last 6 months. I started out with Acid, but have now moved over to Fruity Loops 3.0. My "music" background is quite sparce, so I find my tracks are missing that certain something that makes a track a "good track". I find it really hard to write melodies, especially when building up the track. I tend to make it a lot more percussion based, with bongos, drums, sticks and cymbals. I'll post you a link when I eventually get a damn mp3.com page. I can't be bothered uploading a 12MG file on my slow-as-a-rolling-uphill modem. My girlfriend just got cable tho, so it might be soon!
