Have a look at the Stanton ST-150's.

They're about the same price (from memory), super accurate and built like a brick house. I love them, can't fault them in any way.

For that money you want to spend, just get the Technics SL1200. You can find them at ProSound for $399 brand new.

yea, i fancied the STR8-150's but dont really scratch, which i'm assuming would be the only really benefit of a straight tonearm? so the ST-150's look like a front runner just now

i'll look into it, would need to find out the shipping costs first however. btw, wot is the difference between the 1200 and 1210?

dude there's no way the numark's "flagship" ttx's are .1%. that would just be.. pointless. i was always under the assumption that since TT's are analog they technically have .00000000001 pitch or whatever.

the ttx is .1% the same as the tt500

i can see y u'd think that, kind of wot i thought too - either way i'm not too bothered. shouldnt be an issue if i choose to take them :)

Just the color. The 1200's are silver, the 1210's are black. I own the 1210's. You can get either one from ProSound for $399. I'm sure you can bargain it down a bit more.
