So does know why they havent made a straight trance remix of Th Crystal Method - Nervous? Sure, i know most peeps here dont know what im talking about. OH! Hey, thats the stupid American with his American crap! But seriously, has it been done? Its already there - and a huge ing tune! late/
i just realized there isnt a 4/4/ snare or drum, that could cause problems - but i dont know, mixing maybe |

umm..ok..I think your asking why hasen't anyone remixed Crystal Method. That's an easy one. Crystal Method is not undergroud music, it's as corporate as you get. Don't get me wrong though, there is nothing wrong with that, it's still good stuff. There signed to Outpost, which is a division of Geffen, which is a division of Universal, which is a division of Seagrams.
Translation....if anyone remixes there songs...the will have to pay money to all those companies.....and probably have to pay out of there ass, cause it's the corporations property....see what I mean my good man :) |

Umm..yea..he did...but moby is also under contract with an independent record company. I think it's mute...but moby started in the undergroud scene....so he probably has things in his contract, and I have scene in an interview that he loves the art of remixing...And usally will let anyopne that asks remix his songs because he was once a small time producer too and he loves to hear different peoples perspective on the same music. |

| i see your point. TCM DO have a few remixed tracks by Uberzone, alt that jackass is prolly on the same label. i know its commercial, and i know its not nearly as good as the old crystal...this song would totally be worth it tho. seeing them live is prolly just as good - and that prolly explains why i like the song...heh/ |

Well, I don't think you know what commercial is my friend. Just because it gets played alot and is on T.V dosen't mean that it's commercial. Mean's it's actually good, and the pop culture likes it. Just because Moby is on MTV everday or on the radio dosen't mean anything. He dosen't have to water down his music for Money hungry corporations that don't care about music and only care about money. He has full control of his music...which does not make him commercial....he will sell his music to commercials...if they want it...but it's still HIS music..without any altering.so whatever....you could debate what's commercial or not till the cows come home....In the end it's all music. it's just that music straight from the artists mind is a true art..music made to make money is just an empty shell..... |

Actualiy..to contradict myself....The boys at my favorite record store say they have some Crytal method tracks...(bootlegs)very limited..I know they have some of the new Crystal method stuff....but it's proggy house..and not trance....still interested? |

ok being from Uk pls tell me to shut uop and all but i could swear i have a crysatl method cd called 'keep hope alive' that has rmxes from bt and andy ling.
so i don't understand why other big names would n't rmx their music. have i got totally the wrong group in mind or do i just misunderstand this thread?!?:conf: |

not really - its just confusing in general.
i think TCM would generally let peeps remix and they have. but since they are seen as a pop music group here it would just be very expensive to remix them - no white labels.
ive seen that bt and andy ling thing, as well as uberzone remixes. i think uber is prolly on their label and BT can rremix anyone prolly -
moby is on an undergroud label, but he isnt underground. its just cheaper to get his songs then, cause he can prolly decide how much money for em, whereas TCM would be having top leve executives arguing over a pay raise...ya see?/ |
