i agree, but there's a difference between taking something like this a bit light-heartedly and making an incredibly twisted (given the subject matter at hand) comment like he did. It's pretty interesting though ... to put it in perspective, how things like strongly racist comments never fly on this board, but a ed up joke about someone's death is considered just taking things a little less serious. |

1.) People being banned for racist comments are using those racist comments in a negative fashion, to attack someone and bring them down.
2.) The particular joke in this thread was just that, a joke, not intended to cause harm. Was it in poor taste? Maybe, but his intent was not so.
What you cited are two things that cannot be compared. |
