TranceAddict Forums Archive > Tracks Section > Unknown Tracks its a classic but i cant place it - update View this Thread in Original format callan i have uplaoded an mp3 with me trying to play the tune but its on pretty rudimentary equipmet as opposed to a synth so it sounds crap. dont know if it will help. original post = for gods sake someone help me !! i got dragged along to see lionel richie the other nite in sheefield (actually he was quite good !) bit close to the end in on of his own sonfs he put a trance break in !! bizarre. and i cant recall what the song is, its a classic but i have a mental block. hard to describe really but it starts with a a synth (no other backing) the only way i can describe is: di di (down a note)dida di da da da, da da da da, da da da da di di (down a note)dida di da da da, da da da da, da da da da (repeated etc like i say, its a classic but i cant place it. poss late 90's. i might be wrong but the video had either a spaceman or spaceship in it !!!! how mad am i ??????????? i cant be sure but it might be jurgen vries is it ? (stab in the dark that one tho)i was a mega tune in the late 90's i'm sure. if lionel richie has heard it must have been massive. gaz2195 Eiffel 65 - Blue? although id hardly call it a classic. it was very mainstream commercial think it may have had a spaceship in the video callan thanks but no its not that !! i think maybe i have not done it justice. the synth sound is a lot like barbers adagio when it kicks off gaz2195 jurgen vries - the opera song (brave new world) has a spaceship in the video but im not sur it matches your description gaz2195 or Jurgen Vries - The Theme also has a spaceship in it (what is it with that bloke) that doesnt sound like your clip either. the only thing i can think of that sounds a bit like your clip in the middle bit of dario g - sunchyme but the video is not how you described it callan thanks for that. to be honest it might be a red herring the spaceship. it might be another video. it was a cartoon of a spaceman in red blasting off but as i say i might be getting confused. my clip is so crap tho. the nearest thing i can compare this to is the bit in william orbits adagio where the synth really comes in only in this instance it starts this way and the synth is the only instrument being played during the intro. its a very similar sound and tune to that tho.
