last night's music was unreal. i finished my work and got to anu just before midnight and luke was playing veerrrry progressive with a dose of instrumental and funk. his mixing and progression was extremely detailed and precise as usual, but last night i got a chance to witness it firsthand. i love the fact that satellite events have the dj booth floor level so you can watch every twist and slide the dj makes on the mixer. last night's set was completely different from sunday's outside of a handful of bombs he repeated in different order. halfway through his set he really got on a roll and didn't let up until he finished at 2. it was nice meeting a bunch of international tourists who either wandering into anu by accident or heard about luke fair at another venue and rushed over to hear him. once the venue shut down, the house lights went on and the bouncers were shoo'ing everyone out, a bunch of people chanted for an encore and even though it looked like management wouldn't allow it, he played another track anyway. i woke up pretty tired today, but it was worth it! i think luke will be a phenomenal opener for sasha, his music should inspire a maida valesque version of sasha at vanguard :crazy:
