NO no, lol G friend, I wasnt harassing you about employing the use of the word "so far"...but the word "so far's"
actually, im trying to work with certainty if in fact this is correct in my head:
--> "My guess is because he's none of the people's who've posted so far favourite DJ..."
(i agree it sounds awkward.)
But I'm reasonably certain that you cant say:
--> "My guess is because he's none of the people who've posted so far's favourite DJ..."
bc you cant make the restriction on ppl (ie. the ones who have posted so far) possessive!
you would still have to leave "ppl" possessive w/ the " 's " ... but then it sounds brutally awkward.
I guess better would be to say:
"My guess is because he's not a favourite DJ of the people who've posted so far..." |

although import sounds like an obnoxious moron, technically his grammar is correct: The People Who've Posted So Far's favourtie dj does work technically though i agree you're latter example is much smoother and 'more proper', as it were.
ANYWAYS, I didn't ask "Why hasn't anyone voted..." I merely expressed a certain amount of incredulity at the fact. That, really, is the sad part of import's ultimately nonsensical response. |
