What should I get? (amp/speakers)

I've been looking at a 200 quid Hifi from Sony here
But it's not exactly what I want, in particular the lack of RCA connectors is disappointing. Also no spectrum analyser and the blue speakers :)
So I've been thinking of spending around 200 quid on an amp and speakers, so what should I buy in the UK in this price range?
I'd like an amp with a remote control, and at least some sort of level indicator would be great.
I'm thinking Richer Sounds is probably where I'll buy from, but Ebay and Amazon options I'd consider.

Is it just for Djing? If so, have you considered some active monitors instead?

For £200 you'd get a much sound than you would from an amp and sepakers for the same money.

look for a second hand technics amp. from early the 80's preferably. they go for about £45 and kick anything made these days for 200 quid.

Use for DJ'ing, playback, mp3s, TV.
So I guess with actives I'd have to mess around with the cables to change source?

I'll have a look Rich, which speakers would you recommend to go with the Technics amp?

Totally depends on the spec of the amp you're looking at.

Ok, can you be a bit more specific, there's loads of amps on ebay.
