Which part do you disagree with and why?
Please support your answer with evidence.
....oh darn, that's right, you're the one with the "superior" intellect who doesn't need evidence to support anything you say.
Silly me, why do I keep forgetting? |

MisterOpus dosent deserve the honor to engage in a debate with me. No offense but I only deal with intellectual people that actually understand history and know how to analyze world events and understand politics from a historical point of view. And dosent only focus on what the current media promotes and use that as base for their "suppose evidence" on the truth  :D
By the way I guess that many people in here have gotten to the point that dislike me and may want to provoke me so I can get banned, seems that they cant handle Arnold :p |

Kypton w.e your name is that is a very interesting question.
First, I must say in recent years our military hasn't been trained properly how to deal with guerrilla warfare. The Vietnam war served as a big lesson for America in military warfare. For the first time, our Army wasnt dealing in a conventional war battle.
To get to your point now.... Guerrilla warfare is very complex. The main objective is to involve the enemy in a long-drawn out war. The aim is to wear down gradually the much larger and stronger enemy.
Now with whats happening in Iraq, my solution here it is:
Go after their ing resources. Obtain the most possible intelligence that you can gather, where they get the money, food, medication and so on.. to operate in a battlefield. to put it in simple terms, go after the most needed resources.
understand better the enemy. know who is charge of what, and those who are competent and incompetent so you can pretty much have and idea of their fighting capabilities and leadership status. this will also lead to have a better understanding of their military tactics.
turn the people against them. convince the people that these groups and a bunch of thugs and w.e so on... make them feel that they will be more secure with you and that in the long run they will see prosperity. when you turn the people against them, this will stop recruiting. but this imo must heavily be practiced in villages and where these groups get the most support from.
also... if you can get the identity of these guerrillas go after their relatives and kidnap those bitches so they can come up front and stop the nonsense and provide us with intel, if not they can say good bye to their relatives.
Also, how about if you get some iraqis and and offer them money and protection to their family and use them to infiltrate some of the groups in exchange for intel. its risky but i think i can be done. i mean if you offer them money and protection to their families it can be very effective. you can get these guys and give them some training on intel and how to report back to us, and there you have it. |

I mean... guerrilla warfare. Can someone answer me this.
How do you stop fanaticism? How can you change a man or a womans mentality that if they commit suicide they are going to heaven? This IMO is the biggest challenge for America |

OH HELLLLLL NAHHHHHHHHH!
Dont disrespect your dad like that again. Who have I debated? :haha: I havent even tried to engage in one here. no offense but most of these guys here dont know . i mean it from the bottom of my heart.
I mean dude understand that im a thinker. I come up with my own analysis through a historical point of view and current conflicts. i mean i dont need to read what Mr. writer wrote and then use that as sole evidence. what would happened if our leaders go nuts, and they manipulate the media? all you guys will be echoing w.e they say
thats why you have people like me... that analyze . i read articles and tend to go beyond w.e the they are saying because come on, we should have some doubt on some things on the we read. am i correct? if cnn says our retired soldiers say that we are ed, lets go ahead and believe them. i should start doing that
i mean what im trying to say... if you want to talk about the ME=Middle East. You must view it from a historical point of view you know  i think that we can succeed in Iraq i really do. i support my troops there, i care about them, most of my friends that graduated from HS with me last year are in Iraq and they also want us to succeed in iraq and believe so and want to continue on till the end.
what pisses me off is that politicians have politicized that and are playing games and with not providing them with money for armory and because some people want to add benchmarks  i mean name me a ing war that has been won with benchmarks
wtf if you are a military historian and ACTUALLY know warfare theyll laugh their ass off. a war with benchmarks please |

| what im trying to say is tha s guerrilla warfare takes time. it isnt a matter that you are going to get up the next day and see dramatic change. I got to tell you, im frustrated that this operation has taken long. but as they say " frustration only makes men take cowardly decisions" |

This doesn't make you special.
There's a few people floating through here that have careers as independent analyst's, we're not all pill heads, ravers and students. For starters we all have to source the same information and same history to deduce what we will from it, you certainly aren't privy to anything special in terms of either on the spot eyewitness accounts, undoctored reports and classified sources of information.
In my experience the only analysis worth a damn is from someone with a proven track record of founded assessments, up until that point they're proven beyond a doubt, it may as well be hearsay and ranting. It's nothing personal, but what you say is just as potentially valid/incorrect as anyone else's private assessment. Given most people are liable to only pursue one eventuality also is a flawed method of analysis, this isn't mathematics or a science where you get a single result, there's a lot more constantly updating events which can set an outcome completely askew. |
